Description of game:
The player plays the role of cost leader in the Gryphus Squadron, Air Force Aurelian. Ace Combat X also includes a multiplayer mode, using a wireless Ad Hoc up to four players. There are two modes: Cooperative mode, compared to 2-6 AI controlled fighters, and versus mode. Dogfight-Versus modes include Survival, Dog Fight-shoot out, Base Attack (attack / defend), Air Superiority (King of the Hill), Beacon Battle (Capture the Flag) and Escort Mission. Wingman command system is no longer available because of the limited number of buttons on the PSP. This is one of the easiest games on the PSP to take control but there are advanced controls for the master of the game and those who like a challenge to the game. After meeting certain conditions of the game, players can choose four different paint schemes for each aircraft unlockable. Certain aircraft can be "tuned" to improve performance by opening and buy part in Campaign Mode, examples of which include the thrust-vectoring nozzles, canards advanced and high-powered engines. HUD is almost the same as the other Ace Combat game, unless the player is allowed a visual of the target in the upper left of the screen, and Gauge Multi-Purpose on the top right. Medal awarded by completing various objectives in Campaign Mode and Multiplayer.
Players earn money by destroying the enemy, the points are converted directly to credit. Having completed the mission objectives, players are given the bonus money to perform above and beyond the requirements of the mission objectives. With special missions that require landing or refueling in the air, the bonus money can be earned by completing tasks quickly and accurately words.
